Additional Resources on Necessary and Sufficient Conditions
In class on Wednesday, we discussed necessary and sufficient conditions -- a framework for identifying and evaluating the assumptions lurking in arguments. I find that thinking about things in terms of necessity and sufficiency helps clarify the most important aspects of any argument, so I encourage you to incorporate these logic rules into your intellectual toolkit.
