American Exceptionalism?
Mark Thoma (via Crooked Timber and Chris Uggen) points to a new BoJ report. This figure (which I've seen before) stands out.
Something about this is very wrong (I'm not sure what). As is the fact that 12% of black males in their late 20s are incarcerated.
